Domodedovo

Domodedovo 

a city (until 1947, a settlement) in Moscow Oblast, RSFSR, on the Moscow-Kashira highway. It has a railroad station on the Moscow-Kashira line, 37 km south of Moscow. Population, 36,000 (1970). Industries include the production of prefabricated steel sections, building materials, and machines, as well as a sewing factory and a wool-spinning factory. Domodedovo Airport (opened in 1965), one of the airports serving Moscow, is located near the city of Domodedovo.
