Donnelly, Russell J. (James) (1930– ) physicist; born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He came to the U.S.A. to study at Yale (1952), then taught at the University of Chicago (1956–57) before joining the University of Oregon (1957). He made major contributions to studies of low-temperature superfluidity.
