Douthat State Park


Location:Near Clifton Forge in the Allegheny Mountains.
Facilities:74 campsites (55 with electric and water hookups), group camp, 32 cabins, 2 lodges, picnic shelters, restaurant, snack bar, hiking trails (40+ miles), bike trails, self-guiding trail, swimming beach, bathhouse, boat launch, boat rentals, bicycle rentals, camp store, gift shop, amphitheater.
Activities:Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Created in 1936, Douthat was one of Virginia's six original state parks. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
