Dunash ben Labrat (d
`näsh bĕn lä`brät), 920–90, Hebrew grammarian and poet, b. Fès. He was also called Rabbi Adonim Halevy (ha-Levi). He wrote an exhaustive criticism of Menahem's Hebrew lexicon, adding to and correcting it, and was the first to adapt the Arabic meter to Hebrew poetry.Want to thank TFD for its existence?
