Dunn, L. C. (Leslie Clarence) (1893–1974) geneticist; born in Buffalo, N.Y. He was a geneticist at the Agricultural Experiment Station, Storrs, Conn. (1920–28), and served there as a consultant (1930–74) after moving to Columbia University (1928–62). His research on chromosomal changes in mouse embryos led to major contributions to studies of the effects of recombination and lethal genes.
