Rusk/Palestine State Park

Location: The Rusk Unit is located 3 miles west of Rusk on Highway 84; the Palestine Unit is located 6 miles east of Palestine.
Facilities: Campsites with full hookups, campsites with water and electricity hookups, tent camping, showers, restrooms, day-use group facility, picnic areas, nature trail, 15-acre lake, fishing pier, park store, playgrounds.
Activities: Camping, fishing, tennis, train excursion rides.
Special Features: Unique in the Texas park system, Rusk/Palestine State Park consists of two separate units connected by the historic Texas State Railroad. Train rides covering the 26-mile journey are offered on a regular basis from both locations.
