(2) (Ethernet Packet Processor) A chip from Kalpana, Inc., Santa Clara, CA that doubles speed of Ethernet transmission to 20Mbits/sec. In 1994, Kalpana was acquired by Cisco.

Of the six MEPs that were chosen, only Ioannis Kasoulides and Eleni Theocharous will go on to join a right-leaning party, the EPP, with the other four joining either the liberals, socialists or far left groups.
A number of groups may be affected not only by voting but also by shifts at national level, for example the telegraphed intention of the UK's Conservative Party to quit the EPP.
The conservative EPP has gradually gained power there over the years, although this remains limited.
