Eales, John(born June 27, 1970, Brisbane, Austl.) Australian rugby union player. Between 1990 and 2001 Eales, who stands 6 ft 7 in. (2.01 m), displayed exceptional all-around ability while playing second row forward (lock) for Queensland and Australia. With Australia he won two World Cups (1991, 1999) and two Tri-Nations Cups (2000, 2001) and served as captain of the Wallabies from 1996 to 2001.
