East Beskids
a part of the Carpathians in southeastern Poland and eastern Czechoslovakia. These mountains consist of two main parts: the Bieszczady to the east (Mount Tarnica; elevation, 1,348 m) and the Lower Beskids to the west (Mount Lackova; elevation, 1,001 m). Sometimes the Ondava Heights to the south (elevation, 300-600 m) and the northeastern part of the Ukrainian Carpathians—the so-called Dnestr Beskids (Mount Magura; elevation, 1,363 m)—are included in the East Beskids. The Lupkow and Dukla passes are in the East Beskids. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
