Eastern Air Lines, Inc.Former U.S. airline that served primarily the eastern U.S. Founded in 1928 as Pitcairn Aviation, Inc., it was incorporated in 1938 with Eddie Rickenbacker as its president. It flourished for several decades, adding flights to the Caribbean and South America.
