Saturday's undisputed world middleweight championship fight between champion Bernard Hopkins and Howard Eastman did not leave spectators standing and screaming in appreciation. Eastman Chemical said that its previously announced North American polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plant, and a purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant, will be built at Carolina Eastman Division, near Columbia, SC. Lorraine, senior vice president and chief financial officer, announced that the Board of Directors of Eastman Chemical Company (NYSE: EMN) has approved the repurchase of up to $300 million of Eastman common stock, effective immediately. |
