Eatontown

Eatontown, borough (1990 pop. 13,800), Monmouth co., E central N.J.; inc. 1926. A residential borough, it is named for Thomas Eaton, who built a gristmill there c.1670. The mill's site is a landmark. Fort Monmouth (est. 1917), a U.S. army base, is in Eatontown.
