Using voice over IP (VoIP) over the Internet to connect licensed amateur radio stations (ham radios) to each other around the world. Developed in 2002 by Jonathan Taylor, EchoLink greatly extends the reach of ham operators. Only licensed radio operators are authorized to use the software. See ham.
