Edelstein, David Norton

Edelstein, David Norton (1910–  ) judge; born in New York City. He graduated from Fordham University and Law School, N.Y., and worked as a government attorney before being appointed a U.S. district judge for the Southern District of New York in 1951. He was chief judge from 1971–80. He issued important rulings on antitrust cases. He was active in professional organizations and on judicial blue-ribbon committees, and served on the boards of various social service agencies.
