Edward "Ted" and Pat Jones-Confluence Point State Park Location: Off Highway 67 east, on Riverlands Way just before Clark's Bridge, in Saint Charles County. Facilities: Interpretive trail, exhibits. Special Features: Missouri's newest state park is situated at the point where the Mississippi and Missouri rivers meet. The history of the rivers and the role they played in the Lewis and Clark Expedition are interpreted at the park in outdoor exhibits, and a short trail takes visitors to the confluence point. Future plans for the park include restoration of a natural floodplain, which will emphasize native vegetation and natural wetlands suitable for the site's current soil, topography, and hydrology.
