Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park Location: On SR 267 14 miles south of Tallahassee, at the intersection of SR 267 with SR 61. Facilities: Lodge, meeting rooms, restaurant, interpretive exhibits, picnic areas, nature trails, food concession, gift shop. Activities: Guided tours, boat tours, swimming, snorkeling, hiking, wildlife viewing. Special Features: Park has one of the largest and deepest freshwater springs in the world as well as an abundance of wildlife, including alligators, turtles, deer, and birds. The Wakulla Springs Lodge, with 27 individually unique guestrooms, was built by Edward Ball in 1937 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
