Egham (ĕg`əm), city (1991 pop. 21,810), Surrey, SE England. Light engineering and gravel working are the main industries. Runnymede Runnymede or Runnimede , meadow, in Egham, Surrey, S England, on the south bank of the Thames River, W of London. Either on this meadow or on nearby Charter Island, King John accepted the Magna Carta (1215), which is commemorated by a memorial.
