Eidlitz, Leopold (1823–1908) architect; born in Prague, Bohemia. In New York after 1843, he designed churches, and public and commercial buildings. His functional and organic approach to architecture influenced Frank Furness and Louis Sullivan through his Nature and Function of Art (1881). |
