Ekholm, Gordon F. (Frederick) (1909–87) anthropologist, archaeologist; born in St. Paul, Minn. He was curator of anthropology at the American Museum of Natural History (1937–74), where he oversaw the permanent installation of the Hall of Mexico and Central America (1970). He promoted the theory of pre-Columbian Asian migration to North America. |
