Elastic Coupling

a device used for the longitudinal joining of two rotating parts of a machine (usually shafts), designed to compensate for the relative displacement of the parts’ axes and to absorb the shocks caused by joining the parts. The elastic component of the coupling may be made of metal, as in a coil spring, or a nonmetallic material, as in a rubber doughnut.

Elastic couplings on the BS range provide smooth starting/stopping and spare the machine, motor and gear day-to-day wear, at the same time isolating and protecting the gearbox from damage by motor failure or faults.
Available in sizes 40 to 71, the series offers several shaft options, and an elastic coupling ensures smooth start/stopping to minimize strain on the machine, motor and gear.
