Eldorado Canyon State Park Location: South from Boulder on CO 93 to CO 170, then on to park entrance west of the town of Eldorado Springs, about 8 miles southwest of Boulder. Facilities: 35 picnic sites, group picnic area, stables/horse rental, hiking and bridle trails (12 miles), bike trails (9 miles), visitor/nature center, restrooms. Activities: Fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, rock climbing, hunting (with restrictions), cross-country skiing, interpretive programs. Special Features: Eldorado Canyon features sheer rock formations rising 1,500 feet above the canyon floor, affording some of the best technical rock climbing in the country.
