    0.01 sec.
Electrical Measuring Instrument, Combined

a measuring instrument in which one measuring mechanism or several measuring transducers that share a single display device are used for the nonsimultaneous measurement of two or more quantities. The scale or display device of a combined electrical measuring instrument is graduated in the units of the quantities measured. The volt-ammeter is the most widely used instrument for measuring voltage, alternating current, and direct current, and the volt-ohm-milliammeter is the most commonly used device for measuring voltage, alternating current, direct current, and resistance. The most common type of device for measuring inductance and DC voltage and for counting pulses is the digital, multipurpose combined electrical measuring instrument.
