Tokyo, Japan, Oct 3, 2005 - (JCNN) - Construction company Taisei has developed an advanced electromagnetic shielding technology that is applied to not only parts and components but also the entire living space at low cost. Cast magnesium enclosures for electromagnetic shielding in computer and electronics products provide significant advantages in weight savings, raw material costs, structural strength, and durability over both plastic and alternative metal housings. NIST recently performed electromagnetic shielding effectiveness tests on a commercial aircraft using NIST designed broadband horn antennas and specialized time domain measurement methodology. |
