A battery powered cigarette, cigar or pipe that uses a canister filled with liquid nicotine in various potencies. A vapor is inhaled and exhaled, giving the person the sensation of a real cigarette and the appearance of smoking tobacco. The inhalation triggers the unit to make the head glow red and atomize the liquid into a vapor. Also called "e-cigarettes," they are not designed to wean people from smoking; rather, their claim is that they are healthier because they have no tar and that people can use them in areas where tobacco would be prohibited.
