Location: Off OR 58, 16 miles southeast of Eugene.
Facilities: Picnic area, multi-use trails (12 miles), group shelter, viewing platform (é), boat ramp, restrooms.
Activities: Fishing, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding.
Special Features: Named for one of the first pioneer settlers in Lane County, the park sits along the Middle Fork of Willamette River, north of Dexter Reservoir. It features Channel Lake, a land-locked river channel that meanders through the park.

Byline: The Register-Guard Dexter racer runner collapses, dies later DEXTER - Oregon State Police and the Lane County medical examiner are investigating the death of a Dexter man who collapsed while running in the Bristow Rock N River Run cross country event Saturday morning at Elijah Bristow State Park.
Also Saturday Pleasant Hill's Nicholas Cooper finished third in the boys 5,000-meter race to lead the local finishers at the Bristow Rock N River Invitational at Elijah Bristow State Park in Dexter.
His service project, completed for Elijah Bristow State Park, involved removing 30 feet of a dry stream bed and replacing three culverts with a stream ford.
