Elk Neck State Park

Location: In Cecil County, 9 miles south of North East, on MD 272.
Facilities: 270 improved campsites (some with full hookups), 8 cabins, 6 camper cabins, 6 youth group camps, camp store, picnic area and shelters, hiking trails, mountain bike trails, boat launch, boat rentals, food concession, historic site (lighthouse), visitor center (é).
Activities: Camping, boating, flatwater canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, hunting.
Special Features: Park is located on the peninsula formed by the Northeast and Elk rivers and the Chesapeake Bay. The site presents a great variety of topography, from sandy beaches and marshlands to heavily wooded bluffs.
