Elmslie, George Grant (1871–1952) architect; born near Huntley, Scotland. He emigrated to Chicago in 1884. In a Minneapolis partnership (1909–22) with William Gray Purcell (1880–1965) he designed Prairie School banks and houses, later practicing solo in Chicago.
