Embolotherium
a genus of fossil perissodactyls of the family Brontotheridae. The Embolotherium, which lived during the Oligocene, resembled a rhinoceros but was the size of an elephant. At the end of its snout it had a bony, shovel-shaped horn. It inhabited marshy plains, as well as the shores of rivers and lakes. It fed on succulent vegetation. Remains have been found in Central Asia. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
