end-fire array [′end ‚fīr ə′rā]
(electromagnetism)
A linear array whose direction of maximum radiation is along the axis of the array; it may be either unidirectional or bidirectional; the elements of the array are parallel and in the same plane, as in a fishbone antenna. Also known as end-fire antenna.
