Physiological modeling of a proposed mechanism of enzyme induction by TCDD. MultiCell's progenitor cells and immortalized liver cells are used by XenoTech, Pfizer, Bristol Myers Squibb and a growing number of other pharmaceutical companies to improve the safety profile of drugs by identifying early in the drug development program those drug candidates that can cause clinically significant enzyme induction and drug-drug interactions. We measured biomarkers indicative of liver enzyme induction and investigated the relationship with organochlorine body burden in adult volunteers from this population. |
