In failing health, Fantine urges Valjean to raise her daughter Cossette, who must first be rescued from the clutches of the drunken innkeeper Thenardier, his wife, and daughter, Eponine, played by Garrett Deagon, Becki Hasquet and Myrna Velasco, respectively. Other standouts: Melissa Lyons as Eponine, Adam Jacobs as Marius and Robert Hunt as Javert. In 1992, she returned to her theatrical roots to take over the the role of Eponine in the long-running hit, ``Les Miserables'' (which had been the last show she auditioned for at 15 before signing her record deal). |
