William Jordan Flake and Erastus Snow founded the town of Snowflake where, nearly a century later, Flake grew up on a cattle ranch as the fifth of 11 children.

She said they were inspired when they walked where apostle Paul was sent from the city of Corinth or saw a centuries-old marker proving that Erastus built a road.
