Erikson, Kai T. (Theodor) (1931– ) sociologist; born in Vienna, Austria (son of Erik Erikson). A childhood emigrant to the U.S.A., he earned a Ph.D. at the University of Chicago and joined the faculty at Yale (1966), where he edited the Yale Review (1979–89). His books include Wayward Puritans (1966) and Everything in Its Path (1976).
