Erki 

an urban-type settlement in the Katerinopol’ Raion, Cherkassy Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, located at the confluence of the Shpolka and Gniloi Tikich rivers (Southern Bug Basin). Erki has a railway station (Zvenigorodka) on the Tsvetkovo-Khristinovka line. It has a repair factory (for equipment for the sugar industry); fruit and vegetable, canning, and crushed-stone plants; and a poultry combine; there is also a granite quarry.
