Erlander, Tage Fritjof
Born June 13, 1901, in Ransäter, in the Iän (county) of Vărmland. Swedish state and political figure. Erlander studied at the University of Lund. In 1928 he joined the Social Democratic Labor Party of Sweden (SDLPS). First elected to the Riksdag in 1933, he served continuously until 1973. He was minister without portfolio in 1944 and 1945 and minister of education and church affairs in 1945 and 1946. From 1946 to 1969, Erlander served as chairman of the SDLPS and as prime minister of Sweden. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
