an urban-type settlement in Chuguev Raion, Kharkov Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Eskhar is situated on the Severskii Donets River, 2 km from the Eskhar railroad station on the Kharkov-Kupiansk-Uzlovoi line. Industry is represented by a plant that produces reinforced-concrete products and structural members and a state regional electric power plant. The settlement has a vegetable sovkhoz.
