Euphyllin

(also aminophylline), a medical preparation consisting of 80 percent theophylline (an alkaloid) and 20 percent 1,2-ethylenediamine. It has a spasmolytic, vasodilating, and diuretic effect. It is used in cases of bronchial and cardiac asthma, stroke, and certain other disorders.
