eurytherm [′yu̇r·ə‚thərm]
(biology) An organism that is tolerant of a wide range of temperatures. Eurytherm an animal capable of tolerating substantial fluctuations in environmental temperature. Eurytherms include most terrestrial animals that inhabit temperate latitudes, as well as many representatives of marine littoral fauna. Stenothermal animals are the opposite of eurythermal animals.
