Miroshnichenko, Evgeniia Semenovna
Born June 12, 1931, in the village of Pervoe Sovetskoe, in Kharkov Oblast. Soviet Ukrainian lyric-coloratura soprano. People’s Artist of the USSR (1965). Miroshnichenko graduated from the Kiev Conservatory in 1957, at which time she became a soloist at the Ukrainian Theater of Opera and Ballet in Kiev. She has a light and flexible voice, which easily reaches the high notes in the upper registers. Her best roles include Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata, Rosina in Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, and lolan in G. Maiboroda’s Milana. In 1958, Miroshnichenko received the second prize at the International Competition of Vocalists in Toulouse. She performs abroad. A recipient of the T. G. Shevchenko State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR in 1972, she has also been awarded the Order of Lenin. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
