(analytical chemistry)
An analytical technique in which the characteristics or the amount of volatile products released by a substance and its reaction products are determined as a function of temperature while the sample is subjected to a series of controlled temperature changes. Abbreviated EGA.

From the results of TGA experiments and evolved gas analysis by TGA/FTIR technique, it is demonstrated that the P-modified binaphthyl epoxy polymers exhibited a higher thermal stability than the P-modified DGEBA polymer.
