The SoC Technology Center (STC) of ITRI is the execution unit of this project and formed a task force to set up an incubator center to accommodate SoC design houses. Other operations in the core can be executed in parallel with the application specific execution unit using a single instruction. The G4 chip incorporates a new execution unit named the Velocity Engine -- the heart of a supercomputer miniturized onto a sliver of silicon. |
