In an interview with Swedish tabloid Expressen he suggested the drug might have been in a nutritional supplement he believed was vitamins.
The country's top four dailies-Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Expressen and Aftonbladet-have said that they will not send their photographers to the show if certain conditions on how the images can be used are amended.
Tabloids Expressen and Aftonbladet gave a thumbs down to the August 4 concert at Ullevi stadium in Gothenburg, with Expressen suggesting Richards was "superdrunk" on stage.
