eZ80
An 8-bit microprocessor from Zilog that is four times as fast as the Z80. Introduced in 2000, the eZ80 is suited for Internet appliances, PDAs and games and can address up to 16MB of memory. See Z80.

ZiLOG's portfolio of Extreme Connectivity products include: -- The eZ80 Internet Engine, which provides easy Internet connectivity for 8-bit devices and marks the company's expansion into the "embedded Internet" market.
The new eZ80 Internet Engine is a synthesizable core that retains compatibility with the original, and according to Zilog offers "a clear migration path" for existing Z80 customers.
