(electronics)
Multiplier in which the frequency deviation from the central frequency of a carrier is proportional to one variable, and its amplitude is proportional to the other variable; the frequency-amplitude-modulated carrier is then consecutively demodulated for frequency modulation (FM) and for amplitude modulation (AM); the final output is proportional to the product of the two variables.
