Traditional DRAM requires the physical column and row address of each memory cell for each memory access, whereas FPM DRAM uses one row address for multiple accesses.
In addition to peripherals, DriveWay ME-MPC8240 also provides memory bank configuration for different memory devices such as SDRAM, FPM DRAM, EDO DRAM, flash, and ROM through the on-chip memory controller.
This full size (13x12) AT board includes eight 72-pin SIMM sockets with support for a maximum of 1GB EDO or FPM DRAM.
