The FTX was developed in response to calls from feminist activists for greater understanding of emerging technologies, their potential for women's activism and their impact on women's rights It was organised by the Association for Progressive Communications--Women's Networking Support Programme and the Association for Women's Rights in Development together with local South African partner Women'sNet.
The FTX is designed to improve interoperability and training on joint activities and operations.
Students leave the 35M10 FTX field site tactically and technically proficient in their MOS and ready to graduate the 35M10 HUMINT Collector Course.
