Fabricius (Caius Fabricius Luscinus) (fəbrĭsh`əs fäbrēä`nō), d. 250 B.C., Roman general and statesman, distinguished for simplicity of habit and probity in public life. He persuaded the Tarentines to abstain from war with Rome and, as consul (282 B.C.), defeated the Boii and the Etruscans. While negotiating with Pyrrhus Pyrrhus (pĭr`əs), c.318–272 B.C., Molossian king of Epirus.
