Farny State Park Location: Next to Splitrock Reservoir, Rockaway Township, Morris County. Take Route 287 to Route 23 to Green Pond Road in Newfoundland. Turn left onto Upper Hibernia Road, then left onto Split Rock Road and follow it across Splitrock Reservoir Dam to parking area on left. Facilities: Undeveloped. Activities: Hiking, birdwatching, fishing (from boats only; no shoreline fishing permitted), ice fishing, hunting, cartop boat launching (no gas motors permitted), cross-country skiing. Special Features: Park is a forested wilderness of watershed lands crossed by an old logging road. Trail entry is through the Farny Natural Area. Split Rock Reservoir is adjacent to the park.
