Faisal
(full name, Faisal ibn Abdul Aziz al-Saud). Born Nov. 27, 1906; died Mar. 25, 1975, in Riyadh. King of Saudi Arabia from November 1964. Faisal introduced a number of domestic reforms, including the abolition of slavery and the proclamation of decrees on strengthening the economy, that were designed to preserve and reinforce the feudal monarchical order.
