Feld, Elliot

Feld, Elliot (1943–  ) choreographer, dancer; born in New York City. Trained early at the School of American Ballet, he joined the American Ballet Theatre in 1963. He was a lead soloist and choreographer for the company until he formed his own, the American Ballet Company, in 1969. After that group dissolved, he founded the New York Feld Ballet in 1974, one of the most successful small dance companies.
